The Small Ship Advantage
The Kalibobo Spirit goes where others cannot - into the most remote waterways. Rivers and islands of the world, penetrating deep into the essential Papua New Guinea.
The ship is owned by Sir Peter Barter, a successful businessman and former Member of the PNG National Parliament. Now semi-retired, Sir Peter and his wife Lady Janet travel frequently and you become their personal guests during which time they will impart their enormous knowledge that they have in their beloved adopted country.
As a PNG owned and registered vessel, the ship operates without restrictions throughout PNG, but with total flexibility that embraces weather cultural activities and the specific interests of our guests.
Shipboard is relaxed, informal and sociable. There are no dress codes other than what is dictated by your personal comfort. The Kalibobo Spirit is in every respect, an intimate experience!
As a rule, the Kalibobo Spirit does not have a schedule, it is available primarily for charter for between 4-16 passengers but on special occasions the ship operates expeditionary cruises to the Sepik and the PNG Islands where it is possible to purchase a berth, rather than charter the vessel.
